LUKE HARRISON

I make the physical layer behave.

I'm a field IT support engineer in Louisville, KY. I run cable, terminate it, test it, and chase down the faults nobody else can find. At home I run a segmented, self-hosted network that serves this page. CCNA in progress.

Home lab network overview Internet traffic passes through a UniFi gateway, which forwards only web traffic to a single nginx reverse proxy. The proxy connects to the public services, media, and management segments, but not to any database. Each app reaches only its own private database network. Pi-hole, the media server, and home automation run on the host network; home automation talks to an isolated IoT segment with the MQTT broker and Zigbee bridge. Simplified view. Only web traffic is forwarded to the proxy, and the proxy never touches a database; each app's dashed link reaches only its own database network. Remote administration goes through WireGuard.
